What does CVPP Have to Offer You?
- An opportunity to learn and develop with your child.
- A chance to share experiences with other parents.
- A nursery for younger siblings while you are working in the school.
- A greater understanding and enjoyment of your own and other children.
- Useful ideas for helping your child at home and in the world around them.
- A better understanding of community resources available to your family.
- An increased awareness of the role of education in developing a healthy, effective and satisfying family life.
- Most important, you share in your child's first school experience, and help them take those important first steps towards independence.
Parents are required to:
- co-op (work) at school approximately 3 times per month (3 to 4 times per month if you are using the co-operative sibling nursery) from 8:30AM to 12:00 PM for the preschool class, and 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM for the pre-kindergarten class.
- attend the monthly membership meetings.
- participate in two Saturday work parties.
- hold a chairperson position or serve on a committee.
- help with fund-raisers.
- drive on 2 to 3 field trips
- provide a birthday snack for your child's birthday and
at least one nutritious snack per school year.
- have a physical and TB test before school begins.
