The California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS) is a statewide group of non-profit preschools comprised of parents and educators committed to teaching and inspiring families through parent involvement and mutual support. Parent-participation preschools are founded on the principle that the best education will result from an active partnership among parents, teachers, and children.

In its mission to equip and resource its member schools and families, CCPPNS hosts an annual convention in early spring to disseminate the latest ideas and information on child development and early learning. The convention is a festive gathering of teachers, directors, educators, and parents looking for resources to support early childhood education in their schools and at home. Attendees enjoy lectures and workshops, a progressive dinner, and tour of area cooperative preschools, and peruse a wide array of relevant vendors throughout the course of two days. The convention location rotates between Northern and Southern California each year and is typically hosted by a regional council.

While this event is hosted by an organization that is focused on parent participation in preschools, the presentations and workshops will resonate with all educators, administrators, and parents involved with preschoolers up through elementary school-age children, and in any setting.
